Jerry's Birthday Weekend

So, it's Jerry's birthday weekend and we figure we have about 34 hours to kill...so we started with a few birthday gifts...

Looks like a pretty happy birthday boy to me...

Then after throwing a few things in the car, we are off to Amish country...

We stopped and had lunch in this cool little deli...

We stopped to see a few trains...

Play on a few trains...

Checked out a few more trains...

We rode on a train...

Took in the beautiful country side...

Spent the night in a train...

Our very own mail car...

Great place to stay...

...and a beautiful sun set...

Enjoyed watching the locals...

...and the entertaining farm animals...

more local activity...

...then we moved on to Gettysburg and the basket event...

So, after a little instruction...I weaved one just the right size...

...a little weaving...

...and some more weaving....

and a little more...

...a little cutting...

...and a little compressing...

...a little more cutting...

...a little hammering...

It's time to sign the basket...

Then you have a finished basket...

And then you get the Longaberger family members to sign it...












We started on the road home and went by the new visitors center, that was totally cool!!!

And finished out the weekend taking in some of the many wild flowers...

Now, if you know anyone that can get so much into one weekend and had half as much fun as we do, I want to meet them...we need to compare notes!!! So, Happy, happy Birthday to my sweetie and thanks for another great weekend!!!! I love you!!
