Hawaii Trip - Hilo

On our stop in Hilo we toured all around and took in the sights. It was very beautiful. Our most favorite part of this island was the Black Sand beach. The lava from the volcano makes these beaches and it is amazing. When we were leaving this island on the ship the captain took us in very close late that night so we could see the lava flowing from the Volcano into the ocean...it was truly something to see!

We went to several different parks...we saw beautiful waterfalls, flowers and areas where the water would come crashing in against the shore. All of the beauty and the power is very humbling.
